Meet Dr. Krystle!

Dr. Krystle King was born and raised in rural Northeast Indiana. A third generation veterinarian, she has been brought up in and around veterinary medicine for literally her entire life! From a very young age it was clear that Dr. Krystle wanted to save, nurture, and adopt as many animals as possible. While her parents did have to set some boundaries on the number (and what kind) of animals she brought home, they were instrumental in helping her love for animals flourish.

Dr. Krystle has worn many different hats throughout her veterinary career. After graduating from Purdue’s School of Veterinary Medicine (Boiler Up!), she started her first job as an equine veterinarian outside of Nashville, TN. Eventually she transitioned into working with small animals and has never looked back! She has worked alongside several shelter and rescue groups as well as started a rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming program of her own, helping place over 300 dogs and cats with their new forever families. She currently still works as a veterinarian at Dupont Veterinary Clinic in Fort Wayne.

In her spare time, Dr. Krystle loves to travel with her husband. She is currently in the process of checking off one of her bucket list items – visiting all of the United States’ National Parks within the next 10 years! She also loves reading, playing volleyball, renovating homes and furniture, and spending time with her small herd of misfit animals that she and her husband have collected over the years!

How We Got Here

The human-animal bond has always been at the forefront of what drew Dr. Krystle to the veterinary field to begin with, and what better way to honor that bond than to ensure pets have a peaceful and dignified end of life experience, surrounded by those that love them.

While working in Fort Wayne as a veterinarian, it became obvious that there was a shortage of mobile veterinarians. To address this need, Dr. Krystle decided to branch out and start her own mobile veterinary service, specifically focused on providing in-home euthanasia for pets, and Serenity Mobile Veterinary Care was born.

In-home euthanasia allows pet owners to say goodbye to their beloved companions in the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the stress and anxiety that often comes with a visit to the veterinary clinic during such a difficult time.

Dr. Krystle’s passion for animals and dedication to providing the highest quality of care shines through in every aspect of her work. She believes that every animal deserves to be treated with compassion and respect, from the moment they enter this world until the moment they leave. Through her mobile veterinary service, she hopes to bring peace and comfort to both pets and their owners during one of the most challenging moments in their lives.

If you or someone you know is in need of compassionate and personalized in-home euthanasia services for a beloved pet, Dr. Krystle and her team at Serenity Mobile Veterinary Care are here to help.
